It’s easy to put the focus on being thankful at Thanksgiving for kids when they’re little. At school and church they get thankful lessons and little crafts, but what do we do as adults?
Not just adults, but older kids and teens don’t have much to remind them to be thankful besides a few social media challenges that we all forget two days into anyway.
This year I decided to make these A-Z gratitude lists to print for everyone in my family. It works for young kids as well as adults, and really pushes you to think about all you’re thankful for besides, “my friends and family.”

How do you make these Thanksgiving A to Z Gratitude Lists?
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
You will need:
- Free Printable A to Z Gratitude Lists
- Paper
- Writing Utensils
Step 2: Print out your thankful list printable.
Print out your lists on regular paper. They print one-to-a-page, so keep that in mind if you need multiple.
The spaces to write are big enough for little hands to write too, so it’s great for all ages.
Step 3: Fill out your list.
Once you’re ready to do this Thanksgiving activity, everyone will need a sheet and something to write with.
Encourage everyone to really think about things they’re thankful for that are beyond the surface level. Thinks like that morning coffee you get each day, your favorite mug, heated seats in your car, a nice office chair, that you found a good dentist this year, etc.
Once everyone fills out their list, you might let people share some of their lists out loud if they’re comfortable. Some may not be comfortable with sharing, and that’s okay too!
This A to Z gratitude list is a great Thanksgiving activity, and is one the whole family can do!
