This Thanksgiving we’re not taking our get-together for granted! Getting together with family is so precious, and I have always loved Thanksgiving for that.
I wanted to make something this year that we could all fill out each year, and then look back on. This is such a simple way to have written memories of friends and family that you can cherish forever.
We paired this with my A-Z Gratitude Lists printable and it was amazing how the mood in the room changed! We gave the kids this Thanksgiving Snack Mix that helped teach the Thanksgiving story and it was so nice!
If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.
How do you make these Thanksgiving Thankful Place Cards?
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
You will need:
- Free Printable Thanksgiving Thankful Place Cards
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Writing Utensils
Step 2: Print and cut out the cards.
The cards print two to a page, and there are three different designs. They’re all fun fall designs.
Print them out on cardstock paper to make sure they last longer and are more durable than regular paper.
Step 3: Fill out the cards.
These work great as thankful place cards. Put them at each guest’s place setting with a writing utensil.
Make sure when they fill out the date, they put the year. That way you can save the cards and look back on them to see what each person was thankful for in that year.
Encourage people to really think of the one thing they’re really thankful for this year!
You can choose the design you like the best, or that matches your decor or you can use all the cards.
If you don’t use place settings, you can always pass these cards out to guests when they arrive, or once everyone is seated at the table.
Another thing you could do is have those who are comfortable read theirs out loud to the group. The smiles you see on their faces while they read their cards are priceless!
Step 4: Store the cards.
These cards should fit in most recipe boxes, if you want to store them that way.
Save them to read. This is such a great way to let the memory of those no longer with us live on!
