I love hands on learning. I believe that it and music are two of the most effective ways to teach children new things. This days of creation activity book was carefully thought out and has plenty of interaction.
The goal here isn’t to get kids to just memorize the order of the days of creation, but it’s to make it real to them, and to help it stick so they can always have it hidden in their hearts.
What ages is this Days of Creation printable activity book for?
Use your judgment, but personally I think this book would be best for elementary aged children. Kids ages 5-12 would all enjoy this book. Younger kids will need more help with memory verses and hands on activities, whereas older kids will be able to do accomplish things more easily and unassisted.

- Food Coloring

All seven days of creation are featured in this printable book. Each day starts with the Scripture that describes what was created on that day. Then, as a guide, each day also contains a lesson with the following sections:
- Memory Verse
- Let’s Think
- Let’s Talk
- Let’s Create
- Let’s Remember
Each of these sections is designed to help kids think beyond the words on the page and to engage in learning. It encourages them to dig deeper, to ask questions, to learn with their hands, and then gives a re-cap of the previous days.

Most of the Let’s Create sections have printable components that are included in the book, so teaching these lessons will be very little prep on your part.

There are a couple of crafts or activities in this book that don’t have printable components. They’re very simple and don’t require a lot of materials. All the instructions and supplies needed are included in the book as well. This calm down jar only takes a few ingredients, and is a great, tangible item kids can use again and again.
