Fall is such a fun time, and it seems to be the start of a lot of holidays! In early fall, there aren’t many holidays, so it’s fun to focus on classic fall things like pumpkins, apples, and scarecrows!

These DIY Sixlets Scarecrows are so simple to make with the free printables. It’s honestly as simple as cut and tape, but I’ll walk you through all the best tips and show you what the printables will look like when you print them!

If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.

How do you make these DIY Sixlets scarecrows?

Step 1: Gather your supplies.

You will need:

  • Free printable Sixlets Scarecrow template.
  • Sixlets (4 for each scarecrow.)
  • Raffia
  • Tape
  • Cardstock
  • Scissors

Step 2: Cut out the Scarecrow pieces and attach the Sixlets.

When you print these out, they will print two scarecrows to a page. You’ll have a scarecrow body and two gloves for each Sixlets Scarecrow you make.

This is an easy fall craft, and the cutting is simple, so you could easily let kids cut the templates out.

Once the body is cut out, use the tape to tape on Sixlets for the arms and legs, like shown above.

Pro Tip: For the best results for crafts like these, print out the template on heavy cardstock paper. You can find it easily in the office supply section of just about any store, or on Amazon here.

Step 3: Cut the raffia.

Cut 6-8 little pieces (about an inch long) of raffia for the feet. They don’t have to be perfect, so you can let kids cut these pieces if you want too.

Step 4: Attach the raffia to the feet.

Use a small piece of tape and tape the raffia pieces to the back of the Sixlets on the bottom. This will give the illusion of scarecrow “feet” and it super easy.

The perk of this is that the candy is in a wrapper, so kids won’t have to tear the decor off to open the Scarecrow treats.

When your DIY Sixlets Scarecrow is finished, this is what it will look like! So cute and simple, and his little face just makes me want to smile!

These are a cute craft for kids to make, or a cute small gift to give to kids! My girls LOVED them and were proud of their little scarecrows!
