Not only is this Gift Card Roulette Wreath funny when the receiver opens it, but it continues to be funny as they call the number on the back of every card searching for the one gift card that has money on it.
This was an ABSOLUTE hit at our Christmas gag gift exchange! It was super easy to put together too, and I’m so glad I made it! We do a gag gift exchange every year, so I’ve shared a LOT of my ideas and how to make them HERE.
How do you make a Gift Card Roulette Wreath?
You will need:
- Printable Gift Card Roulette Sign
- Cardstock
- Gift Cards (only one with money on it)
- 18″ Wreath
- Mini Clothespins (these ones are ADORABLE!)
- Big Bow
Step 1: Print out the Gift Card Roulette sign.
Click HERE to get the free printable Gift Card Roulette sign. Print it out on cardstock paper, because regular paper is too thin. It will print two signs to one sheet of paper.
Step 2: Attach the gift cards.
I used mini clothespins to attach the gift cards to the wreath. It’s easiest if you just clip them to a little branch on the wreath – they stay put really well.
The easiest way to get gift cards for this, is to use old gift cards that have an empty balance. Ask friends and family if you don’t have any, and I’m sure you can come up with some.
Pro tip: Scratch off the covering on the numbers and pin from all of the cards, so all the cards are the same and the receiver has to call the number on all of them to find the one with money on it.
Step 3: Attach the sign and bow.
I also used two mini clothespins to attach the sign to the top of the wreath. The sign says, “Don’t get yourself in a Christmas cold sweat, it’s time to play a little gift card roulette! Only one of these cards has money on it. Good luck!”
At the bottom of the wreath I attached a big red bow. It was designed to go on a gift, and had little twist ties on the back, so I just attached it to the wreath using those ties.
