If you’re anything like me, you LOVE getting flowers of any kind. I really love getting to plant my own, so things like this Flowering Bulb Gift would be perfect for me for any holiday, but they’re PERFECT for Mother’s Day!
I’ve been hinting pretty heavily that I want my kids to get me plants this year for Mother’s Day, so I’m hoping I’ll get something that grows or blooms like this Flowering Bulb Gift!
This is a great gift for just about any mom for Mother’s Day, because these can be put in the ground directly, or can be planted in a pot for the front porch etc. Most bulbs are easy to care for and don’t require a green thumb!
If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.
How do you make a Mother’s Day flowering bulb gift?
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
You will need:
- Free Printable Mother’s Day Flowering Bulb Gift Tag
- Paper Bag (or other type of gift bag)
- Flowering Bulbs (I found mine at Walmart for $5-$10 each!)
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Stapler
Step 2: Print out the flowering bulb gift tag.
This will print out looking like this. I always print my gift tags on cardstock paper, as they will hold up better and look nicer when you do.
Use a sharp pair of scissors and cut one of the flowering bulbs gift tags out and set it aside. You can let the kids do this if it’s a gift for mom, as even littles should be able to cut out these squares pretty easily.
Step 3: Place the bulbs in the bag.
Next, you will need to remove the bulbs from their packaging or place them in the bag as is. Just be sure to include the info about the types of bulbs and instructions for planting in the bag so the recipient can plant them with success.
I used a brown paper lunch sack for these, but you could easily use a cute gift bag, or little drawstring bag as well if you want it to look prettier.
Step 4: Attach the flowering bulb gift label.
Use a stapler to staple the tags to the bag and to staple the bag together for your flowering bulb gift for Mother’s Day. It pretty quick to put together, but I feel like it adds such a personal touch if you add the printable tag, and package it in a prettier way!
Would your wife, mom, or grandma love this for Mother’s Day? If you ask me, you can’t go wrong with a flowering bulb gift for Mother’s Day!
