You only need a few things to make your own DIY Giant Hershey Kiss! It’s SUPER simple, and SUPER fast and you’re going to be so impressed with yourself! I promise you don’t need to be crafty or creative to be able to do this. I’m talking, super simple.

If you like stupid simple recipes that look awesome, you need to go see the recipe for my Rainbow Sugar Cookies! They’re great!

You will need:

A funnel (I used one that was 6″ in diameter – I linked to one)
A mini marshmallow
2 cups of chocolate chips (or unwrapped Hershey kisses – I linked to Hershey’s milk chocolate chips!)
Large microwaveable bowl
Tin foil
White tissue paper
Light blue marker
Scissors

The first thing you will need to do is to get your funnel ready. You will need to take a mini marshmallow, and shove it into the tube of the funnel. Make sure it’s pressed firmly without being pushed through the hole. Place the funnel in a cup so it will sit straight while your pour the chocolate in. IF you’re worried about it sticking, you can spray the inside with non-stick cooking spray. I didn’t and had zero issues.

Next, you need to melt your chocolate. I used two cups of chocolate chips for my funnel. If you have a larger or smaller funnel, plan accordingly. I metled mine in a glass bowl on high for a bout a minute, then stirred. Then again for another thirty seconds and stirred until it was smooth. Don’t over cook them or the chocolate will scorch and it gets weird from there.

Next, you will need to use a silicone spatula to scrape every last bit of chocolate from your bowl into your funnel. Leave it in the cup and put it in the freezer (make sure it’s sitting completely straight and won’t be bumped while freezing) for 2-4 hours. I left mine in for 3 and it was perfect.

When you remove your DIY Giant Hershey Kiss from the freezer, you’re going to tap the edges of the funnel against a hard surface LIGHTLY a few times. Then just tilt the funnel upside down on a flat surface, and your DIY Giant Hershey Kiss should just fall out. No prying or pleading it to come out, just PLOP and it’s out.

IF you want to add your own cute little Hershey Kiss paper with writing on it, you need to do it BEFORE this step. Cut a piece of white tissue paper about an inch wide and about 6″-8″ long. Write your message in light blue marker on the end of the sheet of paper, and tuck the paper into the tinfoil as you wrap it around the kiss. Tear off a sheet of aluminum foil that’s far bigger than your DIY Giant Hershey Kiss. Place your kiss in the center of the tinfoil sheet, and then bunch it all up and twist it at the top to keep it shut.

For best results, store your DIY Giant Hershey Kiss in the fridge or a dark cool place until you’re ready to gift it. These are so dramatic and awesome and would make a great gift or table display for a candy bar at a wedding or party! How will you use your DIY Giant Hershey Kiss?
