Step 1: Buy the hot sauce.

The first thing you will need to do is buy your bottles of hot sauce. I used 3 bottles, but you could also use 5 if you wanted. Make sure you buy small bottles that will fit inside the paper towel tubes. Sometimes these are easiest found in sampler or gift packs. If you want to use bigger, regular size bottles, buy a cardboard shipping tube (for shipping posters etc) and use it instead of paper towel tubes.

Step 2: Cut the tubes.tobasco sauce inside a paper towel tubetobasco sauce inside a paper towel tube

Next you will need to cut the tubes to the right height. Cut the first tube to fit the tallest of your hot sauce bottles. Then cut all the rest of the tubes that same height, so they will all be the same length for your dynamite hot sauce gift.

Step 3: Tape the bottles in place. (Optional)

I didn’t want my hot sauce flopping around in the paper towel tubes, so I put a piece of tape over the top and the bottom to hold it in place. Probably overkill, so this step is optional.

Step 4: Wrap the tubes for your Dynamite Father’s Day Hot Sauce Gift.

Just like wrapping a gift, use brown craft paper, or an old cut up paper bag, and wrap the hot sauce filled paper towel tubes with brown paper. This will make your tubes look like dynamite for the hot sauce gift set.

Step 5: Glue the ribbon.

Next you will use ribbon and hot glue to secure the tubes together. Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to wrap around the tubes and overlap by about an inch. Glue one side of the ribbon to a tube, then let it dry. Then glue the other side of the ribbon to itself to securely hold the tubes together.

Step 6: Print and attach the Dynamite Father’s Day Hot Sauce Gift labels.

Click HERE to print the Dynamite Father’s Day Hot Sauce Gift labels. They will do best if printed on cardstock. They print 9 to a page, just in case you are giving multiple, or if you have little hands helping you cut. Cut one out, and hot glue it to the center of the ribbon on the front of the tubes. Bend it a touch to that it’s curved before gluing for best results.

Step 7: Attach pipe cleaner fuses.

Use a dot of hot glue to attach 1″-2″ pieces of orange pipe cleaner to the top of each tube to make it look like a fuse, completing the dynamite look. If you don’t have orange pipe cleaners, you could also use silver, gold, black etc.

And just like that, with a little effort, tape, and glue you’ve made an awesome Father’s Day gift! These are perfect for the guys who like to try new hot sauces, or who want to put hot sauce on everything!
