I’m going to show you how to make a generic one (like the picture above), one just for girls, one for Mother’s Day and one for graduation (and eventually one for Christmas and Valentine’s Day too!) so you can see how simple it is to make these versatile!

DIY Candy Bouquet
My inspiration for making this post was seeing the above site in Walmart. They were charging $20 for candy bouquets that had MAYBE $8 worth of candy in them. Not only that, but they’re mass produced, poorly made, and didn’t contain any chocolate and you couldn’t customize what candy was included. I looked at my husband and said, “I could easily make that! I bet most people have no idea how simple those are to make!” So I decided to show you all just how to make a candy bouquet and to customize them for different holidays and different people.

How to Make a Candy Bouquet
You will need:
Floral foam
3 boxes of theater candy (it’s easiest to use three of the same boxes)
Sheet of tissue paper
Wooden skewers
Themed mini-balloon (found mine at Walmart for $0.97)
Ribbon (for the bow)
Candy, snacks, or fruit snacks of your choice
Hot glue gun
So the first thing you need to do is hot glue the edges of the boxes together in a triangle like the picture above. Then cut out a triangle of floral foam to fit inside the box. Don’t make it too small or it will just slide out. Use the glue gun to secure the foam a couple of inches below the top of the boxes. If you don’t hot glue, when you go to push the skewers in, it will push the foam down and be incredibly annoying. Ask me how I know.
Then take your single sheet of tissue paper (whatever color) and cut it into four even-ish pieces. Pinch them in the middle, like you’re going to put them into a gift bag, and then glue them on each side of the DIY Candy Bouquet. Glue them to the inside of the boxes, so the outside stays looking nice.
Now you will need to glue the candy to the wooden skewers. Glue the candy to the top of the skewer, wait for it to dry, and then insert it into the DIY Candy Bouquet. Make several layers, back to front, short to tall, to make it full and pretty at the same time. I put the mini balloons on sticks at the back of the bouquet so they could stand out, and wouldn’t obscure the candy.
Finish off the bouquet by tying a piece of ribbon into a bow and gluing it to a skewer stick. Put the bow right at the front of the DIY Candy Bouquet for the final touch. Check out the versions I’ve done below and see how I changed them up for different occasions and how you can too!
This one would work for any occasion, or for a birthday, or a boy’s gift etc.
This one is perfect for a little girl. My two year old was really mad at me because I took a packet of her Barbie fruit snacks to make these. Cute for a birthday, or Kindergarten graduate, or for a little one staying in the hospital etc.
