Nursery Rocker | Furniture Makeover

Recently I had the chance to re-do an adorable Nursery Rocker! I teamed up with Fusion Mineral Paint to makeover this piece and I love how soft and gorgeous it came out!
I was sent the paint, wax, and paintbrush for this free of charge. All opinions, photos, and tutorials are my own. Click HERE to see my full disclosure.
I love bright colors. Love them. But there’s something lovely and wonderful about pastel colors for babies! It’s kind of like a neutral, that’s soft enough to pair other colors with without getting overwhelming. Fusion Mineral Paint came out with an amazing Tones for Tots line of colors and I love them all!

So I know I’m going to get people commenting that are going to complain that I painted wood. Yes, I painted wood. Wood that had water stains, chips on the arms, several miscolorations and was $15 at a consignment sale. It needed new life, and the paint I used from Fusion Mineral Paint was perfect!
I chose the color Little Piggy and finished it with a Pearl Furniture Wax. I also used their Natural Bristle Brush and am IN LOVE with how it makes the paint strokes look. I have used a LOT of different paint brushes in my furniture re-dos, and NONE of them have ever held paint as well as this brush. It hold a ton of paint without dripping and it’s awesome. Anyway, back to the chair.
The great thing about the Fusion Mineral Paint is that you don’t need to do a ton of sanding, or any sanding, on most surfaces. This chair was dusty, and I gave it a good wiping down, and that was all it needed for prep.
I used three coats to get this the color and texture I wanted it to be. Luckily this paint dries quickly so it didn’t take long. I finished it off with a coat of Pearl Furniture Wax, and it gave it this awesome sheen. A lot more subtle than a glitter, but still makes it look a thousand times better than just flat paint. I want to put it on everything I own now, because when the light hits it, it shines!
And this is the final product! Isn’t it just adorable? It’s just the right amount of pink to make an adorable Nursery Rocker! Every nursery needs a rocker, and this one is going to be perfect! Want to re-do your own piece using Fusion Mineral Paint? Go check out their site HERE.
