Silver Dollar City Christmas | Christmas Wonderland

There’s nothing more amazing than Silver Dollar City Christmas. I don’t care how old you are, spending the day here during the holiday season will put you in the mood for Christmas!!!
Just a disclaimer. I did receive tickets to Silver Dollar City in exchange for this review. However, all opinions and words are my own. See my full disclosure HERE.
A few years ago we decided it would be a tradition for us to go to Silver Dollar City during their Christmas season with our kids. That was one of the nest decisions we have ever made. If you’ve ever been to any of the Disney parks, you know just how magical it is. Silver Dollar City Christmas is just as magical. It’s an absolute Christmas wonderland and it never gets old.
Silver Dollar City Christmas
AN OLD TIME CHRISTMAS (November 4 – December 30)
SDC’s An Old Time Christmas festival added a huge new area this year: Christmas in Midtown, with towering light displays 9 stories high, animated figures in lights, and 1.5 million additional lights, bringing the park total to over 6.5 million lights! Christmas in Midtown is their largest single lighting expansion in the past 20 years of this festival.
It’s overwhelming how many lights there are. We ended up getting these adorable Christmas Light Necklaces while were there to wear while we enjoyed the Christmas fun. There are shows you can go to (which are all on a schedule so check that out before you go), Rudolph’s Christmas Town (which has the ACTUAL characters from the original Rudolph movie), Tinker’s Toy Shop with a talking Christmas tree, and Santa. Our favorite part, by a long shot, is Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Christmas Light Parade. It’s got over 200,000 lights in the parade, and it is AWESOME!
Food
Silver Dollar City Christmas doesn’t skimp on the good, festive food either. You can decorate cookies in Rudolph’s Christmas Town, tons of Christmas dining specialties, and our favorite apples with warm caramel and nuts. I’ve been thinking about those apples and caramel since we left the park and I can’t wait to have them again! I love Silver Dollar City food so much that I made my own copycat recipe for their Calico Potatoes and it’s to die for!
Schedule
The Schedule for Silver Dollar City Christmas is a little different than regular park hours. During An Old Time Christmas, Silver Dollar City is open Thursdays – Sundays, plus Wednesdays Nov. 22 and December 20, and open after Christmas Dec. 26-30. Hours and schedules can be found HERE.
