I’m a big fan of gifts that are not only adorable, and hold a personal touch, but that are EASY and FAST to make.
I’m notorious for waiting until the last minute, but still desperately wanting my gift to be something more than a store-bought something. This Snowman Soap is super cute and thoughtful, but is also affordable and fast.
I’ve made a few of these to keep on hand for those times when I run out of time and still need a cute gift. You can gift it as is (you can make 12 of these little gifts for about $16 total, making them about $1.25 each!) or you can pair it with some homemade cookies or a gift card to make it an awesome gift!
If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.
Snowman Soap | We Wash You A Merry Christmas
You will need:
White Hand Soap ( I used Softsoap from Walmart for $0.98 a bottle)
Free Printable Tags (I printed mine on cardstock)
Black Puffy Paint
Orange Puffy Paint
Curling ribbon (for the scarf)
Twine or thin ribbon (for the tag)
Hole Punch
Orange Essential Oil or Goo Gone
The first thing you will need to do to make Snowman Soap, is to remove the front label. Leave the back label on, but you will need to remove the front one. I peeled the sticker off by hand, and then used orange essential oil to get the sticky residue off the bottle.
I just dropped a couple of drops of oil on to the sticky and rubbed with my fingers. I wiped it dry with a paper towel. Once I had to repeat that with an exceptionally sticky label.
Once all the sticky is off, use a couple of drops of dish soap to wash off the oil, and a paper towel to wipe it dry.
Snowman Face
To apply the snowman face to make Snowman Soap, simple use puffy paint. I was going to use vinyl stickers, but I don’t have a vinyl sticking machine and finding pre-made stickers was a pain.
SO I just used the paint and it was fast and easy. Let it dry completely. Once it’s completely dry, I tied a short piece of curling ribbon around the base and then curled it to make it look like the snowman was wearing a scarf.
Print out the tags that say, “We wash you a Merry Christmas!” on cardstock paper. Punch a hole in the circle and tie it on to the Snowman Soap using a thin ribbon or twine. The tags print 12 to a page, so it won’t waste paper.
These would make great co-worker, neighbor, teacher, postman gifts or would even make cute stocking stuffers! I’m just happy to have some pre-made so I can grab them as I need them and still feel like I’m giving a personalized gift! Get the free printable tags HERE.
