Board Game Gift Guide
If you’re trying to find a board game gift idea, you need to read through this gift guide for board game fanatics! It’s full of games and gift ideas they likely don’t have and are sure to love!
Catan Santa Claus Scenario
Most board game lovers own the game Catan. If they already have it, this is a fun, affordable (which is tough with board game gifts) gift that would be fun for a Christmas gift!
Catan Expansion – Seafarers
Again, if they already have the game Catan this is an AWESOME expansion to the game. You have to have the original Catan for this Seafarers expansion to work. It’s my favorite expansion for Catan!
7 Wonders
This is hands down my favorite board game. It’s a ton of fun and the game play changes every time you play it! It’s not a common game, so a lot of game players don’t have it.
Scythe
This is a pricier one, but is revered by board game lovers! The game play is excellent and is a TON of fun! High quality pieces make this worth the price too (it comes with a lot and the box is big!)
King of Tokyo
I played this for the first time recently and it’s on my husband’s Christmas list now! It’s so much fun and has a lot of expansions that can be bought with it to change up the game play.
Photosynthesis
This is an original game that’s a lot of fun to play! We like this one a lot.
Pandemic
This is a cooperative game, meaning all the players work together to accomplish a single goal while still taking individual turns. We REALLY enjoy playing this one over and over!
Dead of Winter
This one is really intense and takes a LONG time to set up and play, but it’s awesome! It won lots of awards and is made really well.
Tiny Epic Zombies
Epic Games are known for coming in small boxes, with small pieces, and are more affordable as a result. Lots of board game fanatics have several of these. This Zombies edition is fun!
Tiny Epic Mechs
Another fun Epic game is the Mechs version. This one has a great price too!
The Sheriff of Nottingham
This one is widely known as being awesome! Take turns being Sheriff and then use your time as merchant to become richest! Tons of fun!
Robin Hood & The Merry Men
This one is a ton of fun and comes with several different modes of game play. You can play it as fully cooperative, semi-cooperative, or as a solo game. It’s a blast to play!
Forbidden Island
In Forbidden Island, players will try to beat the water rising and other perils to save treasures from the island! The game play is semi-cooperative. There are other versions of this if the board game fanatic in your life already has this one!
Game Night Padded Board Game Carrying Bag
Besides board games, a big struggle for those of us who like board games is how to get them from place to place to play with friends without destroying them. Bags like these are an awesome gift idea!
Board Game Carrying Case Bag with Custom Storage Compartments
This one is a little smaller and costs a little less than the one above, but would still make an awesome gift. This one has a divider in the middle for easier organization of smaller game boxes.
I hope you found some good ideas to buy the board game fanatic in your life! There’s so many fun options out there, but I hope this list made it easy for you to buy a great gift!
