At-Home Date Night Ideas

Often my introverted husband and I opt to force ourselves to go OUT for dates (we use this epic date night list to help us decide what to do). But the rest of the time, we prefer to stay home and enjoy ourselves!

But rather than default to binge-watching TV with our favorite snacks, we use this list of at-home date ideas to keep things interesting!

Some of these at-home date ideas might not work based on where you live, or the season of the year, BUT there are plenty of ideas to choose from!

Best Tips for an At-Home Date Night

While you might be tempted to stay in your PJ (and there is a time and place for that!) these tips will help you feel satisfied with your date when it’s over!

  • Pick your activity – Don’t wait until it’s time for your date to pick an activity. Do this in the days leading up to your date so that you can get supplies AND get excited beforehand.
  • Plan a date and time – This is super important, don’t just say “sometimes” we should do (whatever). Pick a date and time and make it a priority.
  • Get dressed and ready – Like I said before, it might be tempting to just stay in your pajamas if you choose something like games or movies for your date night. However, getting dressed and ready will help you commit to the idea that this is an actual date, so don’t skip it!
  • Enjoy yourself – An obvious, but important point. HAVE. FUN! Don’t talk about dry cleaning or kids’ schedules, just focus on each other and enjoy the time!
