Goldfish are like the quintessential kid snack! In my house is also the quintessential husband snack – haha! This year we decided these would be adorable Valentines this year, so we put together Goldfish Valentines!

These are great for school parties or Valentine exchanges and kids of all ages love them! The printables are free, and these only take a few minutes to put together!

I have a LOT of free printable Valentines on my site! You can find Fortnite Valentines, JoJo Siwa Valentines, Ryan’s World Valentines, Blippi Valentines, Animal Crossing Valentines, and even Slime Valentines!

If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.

How do you make these Cat Valentines?

Step 1: Gather your supplies.

You will need:

  • Goldfish Valentine Printable Free Here
  • Goldfish (Individual packs, or treat bags full)
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Writing Utensil

Step 2: Cut them out.

It’s super important to use cardstock paper to make these, and not regular paper. Regular paper will tear and bend easily and will end up being a disappointment.

Include the kids on this one if they’re old enough! Let them cut along the simple rectangles with scissors – my daughter loved doing this – and it helped her scissor skills too!

These print six-to-a-page, so keep that in mind if you need multiple.

Step 3: Attach the tags to the bags.

I stapled the Goldfish Valentine printable tag to the front of the bag. You could also use ribbon and a hole punch and do it that way if you want as well!

The staple method is fast and easy and will stay put!

You could also use regular old tape if you don’t want to staple too.

After they’re all put together, this is the final project! They turn out SO cute and kids love them. They’re great for any school-age kids – even pre-school!

Goldfish Valentines Ideas

  • Colors. Get regular Goldfish, or get themed colors!
  • Individual Size. Get the individual packs, like we did, for events requiring store-bought, sealed snacks.
  • Party Bags. Use clear party favor bags to make little treat-size bags of Goldfish from a large container to make this even cheaper!
