I have been seeing a lot of ads for custom tape measures for Father’s Day, with a cute sticker saying something nice about Dad. They were WAY overpriced, and I knew I could create something similar!
This will be an easy DIY you can do with kids, or even let them do themselves! It’s super simple to put together, and is something Dad will actually use!

How do you make this Father’s Day Tape Measure Gift?
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
You will need:
- Tape Measure (for this to work you will need to be sure there’s a round sticker on your tape measure.)
- Sticker Paper
- Free Printable Father’s Day Tape Measure Gift Label
- Scissors
- Goo-B-Gone
Step 2: Print out the sticker.
Print out the sheet onto sticker paper. You can get it on Amazon like I did, or you can find it at Walmart in the shipping label section.
When you print out the sheet it will look like this. They print six stickers to a sheet, so keep that in mind if you need to make multiples.
Step 3: Remove the sticker.
Next, you will need to peel off the sticker that’s on the tape measure so you can make this Father’s Day Tape Measure gift. Peel it off slowly and it may just peel off without having to scrub it.
Step 4: Clean the sticker area.
You may have some leftover sticker bits if your sticker didn’t pull off cleanly. Use something like lemon oil, or Goo-B-Gone to rub the leftover sticker residue, then use a paper towel to dry it off completely.
Step 5: Apply the new Father’s Day Tape Measure gift sticker.
Cut out the sticker, and then place it in the center of the circle on the tape measure. It’s super simple to do, and even kids could do it!
