It’s SO hard to find Father’s Day gifts you can DIY! Every year I try to post some of my ideas here, and I hope they help make gifting more fun for you!

This Father’s Day Soda gift is not only adorable, but kids can help and it won’t break the bank if each kid wants to get Dad something.

This is a relatively simple DIY, but I’m going to give you some tips and pointers from my experience making this below!

If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.

How do you make this Father’s Day Soda Gift?

Step 1: Gather your supplies.

6 pack of glass coke bottles, a purple hole punch, and dad you are soda best tag, and a piece of brown raffia on a blue background6 pack of glass coke bottles, a purple hole punch, and dad you are soda best tag, and a piece of brown raffia on a blue background

You will need:

  • Soda (A 6-pack of glass bottles looks especially nice and makes it feel more special!)
  • Free Printable Father’s Day Soda Gift Tags
  • Cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch
  • Ribbon or Twine

Step 2: Print out the Father’s Day Soda Gift tags.

When you print out the tags, they are going to look like this. They come six tags to a sheet, so keep that in mind while printing if you need multiples etc.

Pro Tip: I always print tags like these for gifts I put together on cardstock paper. It’s cheap, your printer can print on it, and it makes the tags more durable and easier to work with without tearing.

Step 3: Cut out the tags.

Use a sharp pair of scissors and cut out as many tags as you’re making gifts. You could have each kid do a different kind of soda, or this would also be great for teachers to make with their classes (cans of soda are cheap!)

Use a hole punch and punch a hole in the corner of the tag. I punched a hole in the right-hand corner, but you could do the left if you wanted it to hang the other way too.

Cut about 6″ of twine, ribbon, of raffia and then loop it through the punched hole as shown above.

The tag reads, “Dad, you are SODA best!”, because what’s Father’s Day without dad jokes?

Step 4: Attach the tag to the soda.

All that’s left to finish up your Father’s Day Soda gift is to tie on the tag. I tied mine around one of the soda bottles, but you could also tie it to the handle, or if you’re short on ribbon, you could even just staple it to the front of the package!

It honestly took you longer to read this, than it will to put the whole gift together! This could easily be done with canned soda, canned soda multi-packs, two-liters, plastic bottles, and more!
