I’m kind of obsessed with holiday treats for my kids. I make all kinds of different little things for them for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Fourth of July – and even Easter!
These Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks are about the easiest Easter craft you could make. The free Easter printables I made just need to be cut out – so summon your inner elementary student and let’s create!
If you’re just here for the free printables, and don’t want to read the tips on printing and instructions on how to put these together below, then you can get those HERE.
How do you make Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks?
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
You will need:
- Free Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks printables
- Easter Sixlets
- Scissors
- Tape
- Cardstock Paper
Step 2: Cut out the printable Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks.
When you print them out, they print six to a page (three boys, and three girls), so keep that in mind when planning.
You absolutely need to print these on cardstock paper, because regular paper will not hold up. It’s cheap and can be found any place that sells printer paper.
Cut out two feet for each character. Be careful to trim off all the excess white from around the outside for the best results.
Step 3: Attach the Sixlets.
Line up the Sixlets on the back on your character, and tape them on.
Pro Tip: Line up the candies themselves, not the packaging, to make sure the legs are even.
If you don’t have tape, you can also use hot glue.
Step 4: Attach the feet to the Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks.
Use a rolled up piece of tape, or hot glue, and attach the feet to the bottom of the Sixlet packages to complete your Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks.
Pro Tip: Make sure your bunny feet are facing upward when you attach them, or they will look funny.
That’s all there is to making these adorable Sixlet Bunnies and Chicks! They make great basket fillers for Easter, or little gifts to hand out in classrooms or at Churches!
