Coffee is essential for morning function around our house. We have multiple kids and sleeping at night doesn’t always mean we get enough rest, so coffee to the rescue! For several years we’ve relied on our Keurig to give us to hottest and most fresh cup of coffee possible.
Folgers® K-Cup® Pods are one of our favorites to have on hand! They have great, dark flavors, which we really like. My husband likes his dark coffee black and hot, and I like mine smothered in milk and sugar and freezing cold. Folgers K-Cups helps us have the best of both worlds! I’m going to show you how I make the World’s Fastest Iced Coffee Recipe that’s perfect every single time!
First, you need to go snag your Folgers K-Cups at your local retailer. I snagged mine at Martin’s – and if you’re shopping there you can CLICK HERE to get a coupon exclusive to Martin’s to save even more on Folgers K-Cups! Woohoo! They’ve got a great selection, but our favorite is the 100% Colombian for its dark, rich flavor.
Folgers K-Cups are the best option for this recipe because K-Cups keep the coffee fresh so each cup tastes like the first one out of a bag. It’s the best! It’s the same great Folgers, but in a perfect little convenient cup. After all, it is the best part of wakin’ up!
World’s Fastest Iced Coffee Recipe
The first thing you will need to do to make your World’s Fastest Iced Coffee Recipe, is to make coffee cubes. Make a cup of coffee with your favorite flavor of Folgers K-Cups. I made a 10-ounce cup and it was the perfect size to fill up my ice cube tray. I made mine the night before, because I can’t function in the mornings – hence the coffee. Fill up your tray, then stick it in the freezer over-night. If you have multiple trays you can do multiple at once.
The next step is to fill your glass or insulated travel mug with the coffee cubes. Just fill it all the way to the top. They will melt and take up less space as a liquid than as a frozen.
Then, take your favorite creamer and fill your glass about a third full. Your cubes will start to melt quickly. If your mornings are anything like mine, you have about 4 seconds to grab some sort of coffee or food for yourself (never both) between getting the kids ready for the day and fed. By the time I can actually drink my coffee, the cubes have melted and my coffee is the perfect sipping blend.
BUT if you want your coffee ready RIGHT NOW and want enough for a 24 oz cup, just brew another Folgers K-Cup to add to it. Pour a little bit over the ice cubes to let them melt. Then add the rest of the ice cubes to the cup, and lastly the rest of the hot coffee. Use your straw to stir, and enjoy perfectly iced coffee all morning!
I loved iced coffee, but as the ice melts, I’m normally left with a watery layer on the top of my cup that makes my coffee watered down and disgusting. Using these coffee cubes keeps my coffee nice and ice cold without ever watering the flavor down! It’s perfect, and literally takes a couple of minutes.
Tadah! World’s Fastest Iced Coffee Recipe made super simple with Folgers K-Cups! It doesn’t get any better than that! Moms need quick options to survive, and if I want iced coffee, this is about the only way I’m going to get it. Enjoy your coffee today, and may it never be watery!
