Easy Three Ingredient Sloppy Joes
Want an easy dinner recipe you can make in no time at all? Call in Sloppy Joes. I know this seems like a basic recipe that everyone knows how to make, but this recipe is your basic, no-frills recipe that most of us grew up with. It’s delicious and kids love it.
Outside of being delicious, it’s done in about 15 minutes. 15 minute dinners are awesome and perfect for days when I don’t feel like cooking, which let’s face it, is most days.
Sloppy Joes
Dinners from childhood have very fond memories attached to them. A favorite in our house was ALWAYS Sloppy Joes. Also Salisbury steak from Aldi, but you can go buy that in their frozen department. Dinners don’t have to be complicated to be delicious! This recipe for easy three ingredient Sloppy Joes is so simple, but is the best recipe out there.
WANT TO TRY ANOTHER CLASSIC I GREW UP WITH? TRY MY MAMA’S MEATLOAF RECIPE!
Now, to clarify, our mama cooked from scratch often. She didn’t subject us to frozen dinners that I can remember, except for those delicious Salisbury steak dinners from Aldi. BUT, pre-made food wasn’t her only go-to for a quick meal none of us would complain about.
It is a very strange concept to me that people actually use Manwich. The first time I had Sloppy Joes outside of our home, as a teenager, it was definitely not what I was expecting. Why would you mess with v? These are perfect. And easy. And now I really want one for dinner!
We eat these often as sandwiches, like normal humans, but you can also serve the meat mixture over fries or tots with cheese sprinkled on top to mix it up. It’s good however you serve it. And it’s basically a beginner, fool-proof recipe, so I doubt you can mess it up!
I will note that while this recipe does include red pepper flakes, you can omit them completely if you want to remove all the spice. I am a big baby when it comes to spicy foods, so I only put a little in the meat mixture, and then let my husband shake as much as he wants on his own sandwich.
